The Southern Eastern Great Lakes Council was formed for the purposes of encouraging all types of figure skating; to encourage and cultivate a spirit of fraternal feeling among ice skating clubs within the Council; to produce or cooperate in non-qualifying competitions, and generally to do and perform such acts as may be necessary, advisable, and proper, or incidental in the realization of the object and purpose of this Council; and to carry out the policies of United States Figure Skating.
